I read it as toddler can't breathe, almost had a heart attack. As for the bathing issue, sometimes it has to do with not enough room for the sims to use the tub even though they clearly do, they can be picky, so if you have a 2 x 3 bathroom or vise versa small bathroom and sims can physically get to it, sometimes they need that extra space for it to work properly.

Sims 4 I'm unable to give a toddler a bath - the parent starts the bath and puts the toddler in only to take him right out. I've tried multiple solutions online such as repair the game through origin and moving the mods folder (don't use any) to the desktop all to no avail. I wasn't able to find anything searching the sub-reddit.

My sim shows a bubble showing they cannot get to the bathtub to wash the child. I have restarted and done all steps listed here. Funny thing is the first time I played with a toddler bathing was not an issue at all. But since then the sim adult shows as if the path is blocked to the bathtub and won't go to wash the child.
