I have a dark shiny granite. At a glance it looks black.I never thought it was a burden. I don't mind cleaning it and never thought that it was hard to keep clean. I don't worry about red wine stains :). I'd say stainless appliances are harder to keep fingerprint free.

PH neutral soap- We mentioned how acidic cleaning products are hard on granite. Therefore, clean your granite counter at home with a neutral PH. Ammonia or bleach – While not the ideal cleaner for your black granite countertop, you can small amount of these acidic chemicals. Caution: Use these products separately.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE VANITY TOPS . DO clean your bathroom vanity tops regularly with a stone-safe, soap free product.
